Hedwig is a really fun show with a lot of crass comments. My parents are very supportive. I love my parents. If I had done this show for my parents when I was a kid, they would have thought it was vastly inappropriate. They would have been so shocked, and probably offended by it. But because this is my career now, and it goes through the filter of “this is our son,” they laugh at the jokes. x
